POWER is a two-year project (January 2018 - December 2019) co-funded by the European Commission within the ADRIATIC-IONIAN INTERREG 2014-2020 program.

The project aims to support the evolution of ports into Innovation Hubs (IHs), able to act as new transmission belts between regions, and to exploit their untapped entrepreneurial potential. In particular, PoWER fosters collaboration among the key-actors of the Innovation Supply Chain (ISC), in order to overcome Cultural borders and political rifts which caused in the ADRION area a lack of cooperation: schools, Universities, research bodies, enterprises and PAs.

Goals

At this regards, 6 pilot actions were carried out in Adriatic-Ionian port areas, where an original approach was followed by:
  • carrying out collaborative processes applied to energy-oriented issues (energy efficiency, buildings requalification, RES, etc.) to trigger the rise of IHs;
  • building ISCs capable to bridge ideas&production of the energy sector;
  • merging Energy Transition & Gaming Approach as basis for co-creation and social innovation.

    • Role of Certimac

    Certimac was involved in the project as a specialist consultant of ITC-CNR and CNA for issues related to the theme of energy efficiency in the port area, with the aim of identifying, in the pilot area of Ravenna, a energy needs map as a preliminary tool for the development of the Port as Innovation Hub.

    According to its consolidated background in Energy Efficiency and in Energy Management of Building, Certimac offered its experience gained in the port area in a transversal way, between the stakeholders involved in the area and in the various areas of intervention: infrastructures and buildings (shell-plant analysis), processes industrial and analysis of the influence of behavior on overall energy performance.
