The IPMVP (International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol) is the globally recognized standard for performance measurement and verification. It is an essential tool for verifying the results of energy and water efficiency projects and renewable energy initiatives. It is applicable to both residential buildings and industrial plants.
Translated into 16 languages and adopted in over 100 countries, the IPMVP is maintained and published by the
Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO), which guarantees its reliability and international recognition. The first version of the protocol set the global standards for Measurement and Verification (M&V).
The IPMVP provides a set of procedures that, when correctly applied, enable all parties involved in energy efficiency projects to determine and monitor the benefits of interventions over time. This ensures an objective and transparent evaluation of
energy performance, complete with an assessment of the results' accuracy.
